If you are an adoptive parent of a child under 18 whose adoption was finalized in the state of Georgia, background history of the birth parents and their families may be available from the sealed adoption record. This usually includes physical descriptions, social and health information, early childhood development data and reasons for the plan of adoption.
To make a request for non-identifying information please complete the form. There is a no fee to research your child's record and to complete a non-identifying summary report. We will process your request as soon as we receive it. Processing time for receiving this information is approximately 4-6 weeks.
